Plumbuita Social School of Craft is our specific response to the social and economic challenges in the Plumbuita area, a place where social dysfunctions and the lack of opportunities can be transformed through education and integration.

Plumbuita Social School of Craft is an educational institution dedicated to professional training in technical and craft fields. This proposal is part of the project awarded 3rd place in the international competition „Lacurile Colentinei LOT 2,” organized in 2024 by the City Hall of Sector 2.

The social discrepancies, those extremely large areas in Plumbuita with many families without income can only be solved through social integration, connection with the more developed areas as well as with aid and conversion programs (community gardens and social centers).
We propose the construction of a school of craft of approximately 600 sqm, equipped with at least 4 indoor classrooms for courses in mechanics, metalworking, electricity and carpentry, as well as 2 outdoor classrooms for courses in gardening and traditional crafts. These will provide professional training in both technical and creative fields, preparing students for in-demand jobs on the labor market.

Plumbuita Social School of Craft will also serve as a social center, featuring a market area and an event meadow, which could become an attraction hub for the area. These spaces will host craft product fairs, seasonal markets (Christmas, Mărțișor, Fall, etc.).
