  • Braiconf Plaza – Urban regeneration and sustainable development in Brăila

  • Braiconf Plaza is a mixed-use urban regeneration project developed on the former Braiconf industrial platform in Brăila, transforming a landmark of Romania's textile industry into a contemporary and multifunctional hub.

  • Strategically located at the intersection of three major thoroughfares and serving the Brăila–Galați urban region, home to more than 400,000 residents, the project will deliver over 26,000 sqm of integrated built space. The development is organized into five functional areas: retail, services and healthcare, offices, residential and aparthotel, as well as active textile production.

  • Braiconf Plaza is envisioned as a new economic and social landmark for the region, offering investment and partnership opportunities across retail, healthcare and banking services, hospitality, and real estate development. The project welcomes collaborations for the development of clinics, hypermarkets, cultural venues, and flexible commercial spaces, addressing investors and operators interested in urban regeneration initiatives.

  • The initial development phase represents an estimated €10 million investment, financed through a combination of private capital, co-development models, rental income, and public-private partnerships. Pre-lease agreements with retailers and healthcare providers are currently under negotiation.

  • The project incorporates sustainable and smart mobility principles, including photovoltaic panels, green roofs, intelligent climate control systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and pedestrian-friendly amenities. By repurposing a historically significant industrial site, Braiconf Plaza proposes a contemporary model of urban regeneration, contributing to the economic and social development of both the city of Brăila and the wider Brăila–Galați region.
