PHASE I
“Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”
S built platforms intervention tomb + intervention fountains = S developed = 870.87 sq m
Repositioning of the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier”
The “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” will be relocated in the axis of the complex, at a distance of 7.5m from the existing Monument. It will be detached from the existing platforms on a 7.04m x 24.60m platform inserted into the existing set of steps at -0.78m from the base platform of the Monument and at 0.65m from the scrolling platform. It will have as background a parapet of 1.88m from its platform and 1.10m from the base platform of the Mausoleum. The chromatic contrast against the beige stone of the Tomb will be achieved by cladding the parapet and the support platform with Absolute Black granite

PHASE II

The mausoleum: (S built = 779 sq m, S hall = 345 sq m)
Mausoleum interior design:
Independent video projectors will be placed in the 14 niches that will visually and audibly support the historical moments to which these spaces are dedicated. Maps, dynamic maps, photographs, films, staging, speeches, strategy explanations, etc., will be projected on 1m x 1.40m white panels on the background wall of each niche. Due to the special acoustics of the room, the sound will be transmitted in the headphones for each alveolus, ensuring privacy and local focus. Video projectors accompanied by DVD players will be placed in the vault of each niche, being masked by horizontal panels placed at the base of each vault. The light comes only from the presentation panels. In the center of the Monument space on a circular plate with R=2.78m, H=0.17m (which will replace the existing octagon), the statuary group « Pe aici nu se trece» will be placed, on a circular plinth plated with Absolute Black granite (R =0.53m, H=0.51m). The central gap will be bordered at ±0.00 m by bronze hemispheres with a radius of approx. 5-10 cm.

Hemiciclu (Constructed=Undeveloped=807 sq m)
The proposed function is that of a memorial, and the interior space will be conformed for the rendering through graphic materials, projections, of data related to three important moments of national history: the War of Independence 1877-1878, the First World War (1914-1919) and the Second World War (1941-1945).
