CLIENT BRIEF

Given that it is located within the Golden Tulipe Mamaia hotel (located on the seashore), we want a versatile conference center that can host entertainment events during the summer, and focus on business, corporate, etc. in the off-season.

CONCEPT

Trying to combine the fun requirement with the business requirement, I approached an organic expression, which managed to combine the representation part with the technical one (masking certain installation routes).
Thus, the central element, the “red amoeba”, becomes the force element of the ensemble dominating the foyer area, just above the spiral access staircase. It is the first and last element that is perceived by the visitor in this conference center, generating a special personality that exudes strength and mystery.
The rest of the monochrome treated ensemble, with walls and epoxy floor in white color, is subordinated to “amoebae”. The sofa with tentacles with variable geometry was designed by me as an integral part of the concept.
